I began this thread on 1/12 to hold myself publicly accountable during my @WakeForest sponsored leave. I am extremely fortunate to have the job I do, my family, health, and resources. I hoped to fulfill my side of the bargain by working hard and producing. I think I did.
I have drafts of 6 chs of my gun culture book done, wrote 2 chs for another book, wrote several essays (some published, some not), co-edited a special ed of Soc Perspectives, produced a mini-book, started a writing course, and tried to do as many peer reviews as I could.
Before summer school starts on 7/1, I am going to conclude my research leave with a sabbatical in the archaic sense starting next week: leaving the computer behind and hitting the road w the love of my life for a few weeks. I'm leaving Twitter to y'all. Be good to each other. đŸ€Ł
