To start this off, this is just a thread to appreciate and talk about how much positivity and light Jae has and continues to bring into this world! This is in no way to try and make him seem better than anyone or anything or to try and make his good deeds something to brag about!
so one of the first few things i wanna mention is how he used his 1st paychecks on others instead of himself! he took his parents on a vacay and donated to his church! his parents and his faith are very important things to him and it's heartwarming to see him be open about it!
even during his predebut days, he has shown to be selfless! he gave up his seat to an older man and later on in his career thanked a gpa and parents in general for allowing their kids to enjoy and see DAY6's concert

his love and appreciation for his parents and friends is always so apparent! he gave his friend his guitar after he mentioned he wanted one just like that...his friend even thought jae was joking but he wasnt!!! instruments ain't cheap!
in the discord server (I witnessed this btw) he asked us about the offensiveness of something just to be sure before he tweeted it (he did tweet the emoji after agshshd) and he also mentioned before how he'd really take his time before tweeting to make sure he doesn't hurt ppl

this is something that he really doesnt have to do and most people dont even consider but he protected the privacy of his fans by not uploading the pictures he'd take of the crowd during concerts
he has a business email that he checks from time to time and this one fan asked him some advice in one and then later jae commented on one of their youtube videos 
jae went live with fans to talk to them 1:1 (for free) and just wanted to listen to their stories and wanted to do it again! but he heard that some were unhappy/worried about the idea so he listened and worked to find another alternative so that he wouldnt hurt his fans :(
jae stated that on his bday he wanted to do something to help others, so he announced a campaign in coalition with JED and represent to raise awareness for mental health in teens and young adults !! he held a 24hr qna on HIS bday to bring more recognition to it and talk to fans
and after months of promoting it and constantly plugging it, we were able to raise and donate $100,000 to @jedfoundation
relating to his from friends campaign, jae has been a huge huge advocate for mental health awareness and has opened up about his experiences alot, especially in recent months. heres just one where he talks about it being ok to not be ok but ur not alone
jae participated in a charity life stream with his friends hosted by @poetristephanie in order to raise money for children in need ! he donated all of the money he has available to him on his card at the moment and risked being yelled at by his parents for the children
in the middle of his hiatus, jae came back to twitter to help spread awareness about BLM and donate to help the cause. he spread this information to his over 1M fanbase which is a significant way to use his platform

he's supported the LGBTQ+ community in so many ways and these are just some of the most blatant instances ! that same friend in the screenshot even got love advice from jae in the discord server and his crush was a boy and my friend is MLM!

during an episode of HDIGH, an article he was reading for the show had the R slur in it and he replaced it with mental illness instead (he doesnt read the articles before the recording btw)

oh even to this day, jae still adamantly claims that he cant call himself a rapper as he doesnt know enough about its history and culture in order to have earned that title !

kris talked about jae for a bit when jae raided his stream on his birthday and teared up talking about how good of a friend jae is and how much he's thankful for getting to know him
jae and peter (peter park) hadnt known eachother that long and yet jae wished him a happy birthday via video and peter has always spoken about how kind and good of a friend jae is whenever he is asked !
jae was interviewed by hachubby and was encouraging her and complimenting her music and you can see him trying to stifle his smile and her being surprised/flustered
even before jae himself started streaming, he promoted and supported his friend dennys twitch and has also donated bits and subs to him too! this isnt his first or last instance of helping promote and support his friends
