I've never had any success with Resolutions, but last year I set a "yearly theme."
A "theme" provides a loose space for reflection & direction.
My theme for 2020 was "Ship," which unfolded in surprising ways as I shipped http://HomerenterDeclaration.org .
For 2021, my theme is "Build."

Build internal systems at @kyequaljustice
Build @kyequaljustice itself (we're facing an increasingly challenging advocacy landscape)
Build power
Build relationships
Build a book from my essays and columns
Build wooden things
Build my body
Build fires

A good yearly theme resonates in multiple areas of your life and that's what I've got with "Build".
I'll be interested to see what "Build" means at the end of 2021, because I didn't have "shipping legal apps" with @LawyerCommunity in mind when I made last year's theme "Ship."
