@AliExpress_EN STOLE MY ART!!!!

Yesterday I discovered that multiple stores on #aliexpress had stolen my designs and sold them WITHOUT MY PERMISSION or knowledge. Please read this thread to hear my experience and learn what you can do as either a customer or an #artist. (1/13)
What happened:
Yesterday I was browsing online and saw in one of the search results that one of my designs had popped up, the strange part is it wasn't from my store! I then click it to investigate and found that it was on a site called Aliexpress. The design was on a mask (2/13)
as a pattern just like my mask with the same colour and background identical to my product. I was even more shocked to find they even had COPIED MY TITLE WORD FOR WORD! So then I start searching for more of my designs and find that there were 11 different listings for (3/13)
copies of my designs on masks. These masks were for only a fraction of what they sell for on my stores as they are cheaply manufactured and they rip off the artist. So then I start researching the site Ali Express and #arttheft in general and found this is a big issue on (4/13)
that site especially.

The Impact:
➡️Artists lose money for their hard work.
➡️Artists have to waste time trying to get stolen listings taken down, this time could be used for other things like creating content. (5/13)
➡️Seeing other people profit off their hard work can be discouraging and stop creativity. Art theft can cause some artists to stop selling or creating.
➡️They don't get to have a happy feeling when someone buys their design. (6/13)
What you can do ( #Artists)
➡️If it's on a site like Ali Express you can report it as a formal copyright complaint or as a general report telling them to take it down.
➡️Message the store owner directly asking them to take it down. (7/13)
➡️Watermark your art on display pages. #teepublic and #redbubble both have multiple options for this.

What you can do: ( #customers)
➡️Search on google design names to see if it pops up on multiple sites. Do research on each individual site to see if any are known for it. (8/13)
➡️Don't buy from stolen listings even if the price is tempting. This fuels the demand and makes the issue works. When you buy from them YOU MAKE THE PROBLEM WORSE. (9/13)
What you can do: ( #supporters)
➡️Show support for your favourite artists. Engage with any social media posts.
➡️Consider buying something from their stores.
➡️Post photos/reviews of the products or pin on pinterest. (10/13)
➡️Donate to their tip jars if they have one.
➡️Share their store with people you know.

Outcome:
So yesterday I went right to work reporting items through Aliexpress's report feature. In addition, I messaged the store owners telling them to take down the designs. (11/13)
The ones I reported yesterday mysteriously disappeared when I clicked the link today. Tomorrow, I'm going to check on the ones I sent today as I know most of these store owners are in a different time zone than me. If there is any tomorrow still there I'll add them here (12/13)
and will ask that you go report them. This way the more of us who do it the more likely they will be taken down, however, I'm hoping it won't come to that. If you read this far I want to thank you for your support. It means a lot and is the reason why I keep going. (13/13)
UPDATE ON THE #stolenart : All stolen listings on @aliexpress have been removed except 2. It would mean a lot if you could help get it taken down. All you have to do is go to both links: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001622067095.html (1/2)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001577491252.html
report it for copyright (not as the right holder) and in addition, click contact store owner on the product page and send them a message telling them to take down the design. It's probably a good idea if you include the link to the design on my page: (2/3)

STOLEN ART FINALE UPDATE:

WE DID IT EVERYONE! The STOLEN ART HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN! Thank you so much for all your support working on getting it taken down. It really means a lot and now I can focus on making content. 😊
