Kacchan, who's never had trouble finding a quick lay, be it man or woman, and Izuku, his childhood best friend, who's always been in love with him and would jump at the chance to be one of his whores.
Izuku gets his wish when Kacchan and him share a couple of drinks late one night. Kacchan jokingly flirts with him, but, maybe because of the booze, Izuku readily reciprocates.

"Wait, you're serious?" Kacchan hums, downing the rest of his beer.
Izuku blushes bright red, taking another sip from his bottle. "If it's Kacchan, I-I wouldn't mind..."

So they spend a night together. It's amazing and everything Izuku's ever wanted. He pants out fervent little "I love you"s through the whole ordeal.
Come morning, Kacchan's left his side of the bed empty and Izuku shrugs it off. Kacchan had earlier classes than him. Izuku packs a second lunch, feeling giddy about presenting it to his new boyfriend.

When he gets to campus, Kacchan's talking up a girl he's never seen before.
Kacchan catches Izuku staring and waves to him, not yet registering that something's amiss. "Hey, what's up?"

Izuku, heartbroken, shoves a bento into his hands. "I-I made you this. I thought that we were... That last night meant more than just..."
Izuku can't finish his thought. He needs to walk away, before he breaks down. Before the tears fall and he embarrasses himself more than he already has. So he turns around and leaves Kacchan with his handmade lunch.
Deku avoids Katsuki after that. Any time Katsuki tries to call him over or catch him after class to make plans, Deku finds some way to weasel out.

It very quickly dawns on him that Deku is nothing like his other lays.
The other partners Katsuki's been with... He wouldn't blink an eye if they disappeared from his side. Deku's different. Irreplaceable. He's lost.

The night they shared together, it starts to mean more to him the more he thinks about it, because it obviously meant more to Deku.
And Katsuki had taken that for granted.

He ends up knocking on Deku's apartment door, knowing the nerd's at home. It's the only place Katsuki can corner him.

Deku answers and Katsuki catches the door before Deku can shut himself inside.
"Wait..." Katsuki begs, "Let's talk."

"There's... nothing that needs to be said..."

"There's plenty I gotta say." Katsuki shows him the bouquet of flowers he's brought with him and Deku opens the door slightly, expression confused but still guarded.
"I'm sorry." Katsuki starts off and Deku's eyes immediately begin to water.

Tears fall and he chokes on a sob. Katsuki is stunned silent. "Don't apologize, Kacchan! I knew from the start I couldn't have you! It hurts more if you apologize!"
"What?!" Katsuki caresses his cheek, wiping the tears away and turning Deku's face to look up at him.

"M'not apologizing because I'm rejecting you! I'm apologizing because I've been a fucking idiot. It took almost losing you to realize it, but I love you."
"I can't imagine a life without you." Katsuki tilts the flowers out towards Deku. "So, are you gonna forgive my dumb ass or what?"

Deku wraps his arms around Katsuki's neck , his happy laughter sparking warmth in Katsuki's chest, "R-Really, Kacchan?"
"Wouldn't have said all that if I didn't mean it!" Katsuki tries to hide his embarrassment with bravado, but the way he gently embraces Deku back gives him away. đź’–
