As a massive KISS fan and as a fan of Frank’s, I feel it’s my duty and responsibility to talk about this.

So we all now Frank comes from a family of musicians. His grandfather and father were drummers. It was essentially what he was born to do. His father, however, had the opportunity to join “The Hottest Band in the World” in the 80’s, KISS, as their drummer. He would have +

+ Replaced Peter Criss, who originated the Catman character and makeup and was one of the original founding members of the band. Frank Sr. had auditioned, met the band. They HANDPICKED him to join the band. This was around ‘81-‘82, when Frank Jr. had been born

Instead of pursuing this INCREDIBLE opportunity, Frank Sr. turned down the offer to replace Peter Criss to be with his newborn son. The position ended up going to Eric Carr who was the drummer for 11 years before Peter Criss returned off and on until 2004 when Eric Singer took +

+ over. If Frank Sr. had taken the position, I firmly believe we wouldn’t have Frank Jr and all of his talent out in the world.
