Thinking about little puppy Kacchan and Deku ending up at the same animal shelter along w/a bunch of other puppies & they have to watch as all the other pups get adopted until they’re the last 2 left since no one wants them because Kacchan’s too aggressive & Deku’s too plain.

Even though the two pups didn’t get along at first they end up forming a bond. Katsuki always lets Deku eat first & is protective when anyone who comes to gawk at them. Every night they cuddle up to sleep together on the hard cold floor of their cage, each other’s only comfort.

One day a couple comes in, a tired looking man with long black hair and a scar under his eye and a tall, gangly blonde with deep set eyes. They head straight to the puppy area and after watching Kacchan and Deku play fight for a bit they ask to see Deku.

Kacchan barks and growls as Deku’s taken from their cage but hes powerless to stop them as they carry Deku to one of the little rooms where they can interact with him one on one. Deku whines a bit at being separated from his Kacchan but since he’s still close by and Deku can see

him through the glass door he’s not to worried.

This is the first time anyone’s requested to see Deku and he barks happily as he runs back and forth between the two humans, eating up the attention and pets they both rain down on him.

But little does Deku know that his temperament is exactly what they’re looking for and it’s not long before the two humans let the shelter worker know that they’d like to adopt the little fluffy pup.

It’s not until he’s in the blonde human’s arms being carried away, all while

Kacchan desperately barks and claws at their cage, that Deku realizes what’s happening and the moment he does he begins struggling in the man’s arms, kicking and clawing until he’s dropped to floor.

He scrambles back to his and Kacchan’s cage, crying and pawing at the glass that

separates them as Kacchan does the same.

Deku had scratched up the blonde human’s arms in his attempt to get back to Kacchan and while most humans would probably think twice about still adopting the puppy, these two humans are wise and kind enough to see what’s happening.

So instead of getting upset, they ask if they can see the little spiky haired pup as well & as soon as they see the relieved happiness the pups share at being back together, yipping happily & crawling all over each other, the humans make the decision to adopt /both/ of the pups.

So Deku & Kacchan are taken to their new home. Their owners are patient, attentive & loving, doing their best to make the pups feel comfortable & safe. Deku & Kacchan flourish under their care & eventually become therapy dogs at the hospital where their owners work.
