Happy to introduce https://mementor.net/ ,">https://mementor.net/">... a portal to easily connect mentors and mentees. Designed and created by @hen_str, @mpd37, Adam White, Olga Isupova, (and me).

We are testing it out at #NeurIPS2020. Sign up. Help us spread the word!

At the front page, you can see a list of upcoming sessions.

You can download the .ical and include in your calendar. If you log-in you can see the schedule your local timezone.

Easiest to login is to "continue with Google". Registering also works (a bit buggy atm).

Don& #39;t worry about spam. You have an option to opt out of emails when you enter your information. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Smiling face with open mouth and cold sweat" aria-label="Emoji: Smiling face with open mouth and cold sweat">

Verify your email etc., and if it doesn& #39;t work, try logout and log in (that worked for me, but there is a bug somewhere).

You get to this page to update your profile. You can choose a timezone, email notification, write a bit about you, and choose your community.

4/8
After this, you should be able to see the sessions in your own timezone. If you are a mentee, then you are done. Note down the time and show up for the meeting. That& #39;s it!

Note that the video links are only available 30 mins before the meeting.

5/8
If you are a mentor, you can use & #39;Host/Edit mentor sessions& #39;. You can delete/edit your session using the same button. You can add a video link (e.g., zoom).

If you use Hangout, try to include "https://" (sometimes it doesn& #39;t do that, I have heard).

Our hope is that this tool will be useful to connect mentors and mentees. We hope to roll out more features to promote a & #39;long-term& #39; relationship. Read more about our mission in the FAQ/legal page.

This is all in beta right now, happy to get feedback!

Happy mementoring!
