What @jackbutcher has built with the @visualizevalue community is just incredible.

We have weekly meetings with the most successful people on the internet.

I'm going to start sharing my raw thoughts on the conversations.

We met @theSamParr today:

Here's what I learned 👇
How to get popular:

1) Write an article about any topic.

2) Share it in the proper subreddit.

3) Repeat 100 times.
Be relevant, consistent, and produce value on a regular basis.
Copywriting:

"How can I scale words?"
Making money on ads is not necessarily good, and does not necessarily bring value to the consumer.
Media businesses are different than regular businesses.

You are in the business of building trust and then launching a variety of different products to capitalize on that attention.

Disney started with a mouse cartoon. Now they have cruises.
You can make money by spending money.

Just make sure your machine (business) works.
Do more. Do more. Do more.
Thought by @jackbutcher:

You have an attention brand.

Your business is in channeling it to different business areas, as long as it aligns to the interest of the customer.
People may be smarter than you, but are they really 10B$ smarter than you?

Believe in yourself.
Everyone is a flawed individual.

Even the successful ones.
YouTube is probably the most valuable media asset you can have.
Media businesses:

Make sure you have subscription models on your arsenal.
Lesson: Learn how to cold email.

It can get you friends, customers, and fancy places to host dinners for free.
An audience and a community are not the same. Stop using them interchangeably.

How do you know if you have one?

Stop working for two weeks.

If it gets better, you have a community.

If it doesn't, you have an audience.
The definition of a business:

You create value, and you capture a % of that value.
Businesses are like hit-songs.

They might be slightly different, but objectively, they are 95% similar.
The Holy Grail for media businesses:

Charge your worth. Media businesses usually don't think about it that way.

Don't be afraid to charge.

Create value through written words, charge money to customers for it.
That's it! Thank you for making it all the way down.
