okay so i have a theory that #WAYO by Bang yedam was actually written about a boy

we all know that the mv shows yedam with a girl but that’s just to throw us off . think about it:

WAYO is about a mlm falling in love with his straight best friend who can’t love him in that way:

in the song yedam says “why can’t i live without you/ why can’t i go on without you/ why can’t we work” . yedam says this song is about a breakup but +

it can be about a friendship breakup instead of a relationship breakup. it’s common for queer people to fall in love with their straight best friends and sometimes that results in the friendship falling apart because things become awkward between the two.

so yedam and this guy have drifted apart but yedam still hasn’t moved on. he even says
“Even if you lie, answer me, answer me” → the straight best friend has to lie about his feelings for yedam because he just doesn’t like him in that way. but yedam is still in denial about it

so they delayed treasures debut (originally supposed to be in july) and changed the concept to make it about a BOY wanting a GIRL. a very heteronormative concept to hide the fact that wayo was a queer song.
