Today on a day to give thanks, I’m thankful for many reasons, but my favorite thing to be thankful for is a phone call I had back in 2012.

As a proactive high school senior, I wanted to call some of the admissions counselors for the universities I was interested in to get more insight on college life. My decision was down to USF and C.

I first called USF, where I was met with kind conversation about life in Tampa, the college of engineering, and was asked for my mailing address so they could send me a shirt.

I then called UCF, and even after I introducing myself. The gentlemen then started calling me Mark and when I corrected him, he said “anyways” instead of apologizing. I’m super thankful for that conversation #chateweek
