about whipped cream,

a thread to change @SAINTJ1N ‘s mind

(special thanks to @BinnieBixch because i was bored and i loved the idea)
whipped cream’s origin comes from italia, first recipe being written in 1549 but the british one written in 1545, including egg whites, rose water and sugar in it. It was called milk or cream snow (neige de crème) back then but on its english recipe it’s called++
++”A Dyschefull of Snow". in this recipes, naturally separated cream was used and whipped with different types of plant branches. The foam on the surface being skimmed off or drained, a process taking an hour or more. By the end of the 19th century, people started to use++
high-fat creams, which made the process faster and easier to make a whipped cream.

its french name is “crème fouettée” which attested in 1629, and it got its english name "whipped cream" in 1673.++
soon whipped cream was made in different shapes with coffee, liqueurs, chocolate and fruits. mixing it with chocolate lead whipped cream to turn into the modern mousses, including “mousse au chocolat” with its original name.++
whipped cream can be used for several purposes. a common use is for making a whipped topping for cakes, pies and other desserts. it is also used as an ingredient in recipes for desserts, soups, sauces and beverages. it’s even used as a filling for profiteroles and layer cakes.++
the most common reason to use whipped cream is to soften the taste of a heavy dessert. it makes it milder while tasting and gives the dessert extra flavor, as well as sweetness. for example a very chocolate-full cake can be lighten with just a pipe of whipped cream.++
whipped cream is one of the most important desserts i have ever seen. at the end we can see that there’s many uses for it and it even was a base for the modern mousses we see today. plus it’s very yummy and very easy to make.++
thank you for taking your time and reading, please give whipped cream lots of love it deserves that. hope i could change your mind even just a bit. @SAINTJ1N <3
