As 2020 drags towards its end, I’m worried about a Christmas spike in cases, but I’m no longer feeling constant dread. The vaccine news seems to have shifted me into a new headspace of reflection, where I’m just extremely sad for all that was lost this year

There’s so much to mourn, so much to process. Too much. On a very personal level, 2020 was meant to be a restorative year for me - I’d had such a miserable time in 2016-18, and 2019 was exhausting. In hindsight, I pinned too many hopes and dreams on 2020

So instead I’m refusing to learn my lesson and PINNING ALL MY HOPES ON 2021! Come on, you sexy bastard, make me proud!
