What’s the most unbelievable thing that happened to you because of Twitter? I’m here unpretentiously, sharing some stuff I’ve been doing with my family, I’ve made friends, maybe we never get to see each other personally, but I value you as good friends. The thing is..
One day I received a DM, asking if I was interested in some horses, as a gift.. (what?) yes, a gift. First thing crossed my mind: well that’s a new scam I guess... where is the part I just need to make a little payment? 😂😂😂 the conversation migrated to WhatsApp...
And I realized it was for real! A woman I never met in real life were offering me 5 horses! Can you believe that? Yes.. she gave me the horses, all I had to do was find a truck to load them. 1200km distance. Let’s put things to work. Found a guy, the papers were done, let’s go..
All done to Thursday! But Wednesday the driver calls me, his diff blown ☹️😔
Time we’re running and I wasn’t finding anyone else wanting to do this long journey... in the last minute I found one guy. Papers were valid till Tuesday, we didn’t had time to loose!
So we left Sunday, a little before 03:00... on this little truck, to a loooong ride. Beautiful landscapes along the way.
Stopping only to fuel the truck and for a lunch, in some gas station along the way..
Damn, that little truck made my back hurt for days, but definitely worth it 😂😂😂
Around 8pm we finally arrived at our destination. Fazenda Santa Gertrudes. Not so far from São Paulo capital. Received by Baiano and Rogerio, fine people, let us sleep on their house. One of best nights of sleep in some good time..
Fazenda Santa Gertrudes, is @valerialabate farm’s. This thread is about her, and her husband’s big heart. We didn’t had the chance to met personally, but I’m sure we will be able to fix that soon. No one never did nothing like that for me before, and I’m thankful. Thank you!
Now, let’s load!
Those animals never been in a truck before, I was expecting some trouble, but things gone really well, thanks to Rogerio, Baiano and Ataufo, the truck driver.
Now we had a long journey, loaded, and we made more stops to check the horses along the way. Truck had a little problem, so we also had to stop to fix it, what costed us precious time.
Back on the road, till we see a old farm truck, starting a fire, so we stopped to give some assistance. Glad we could extinguish the fire, and no one got hurt. 🙏🏼
Back to road... we traveled all we could, but we had to stop to sleep. Horses had hay and we had a Burguer in some suspicious trailer in some town along the way
Before the sun goes out, we were back on the road, and finally in roads we already know! Now unload. 🙏🏼
They’re on their new home! Will stay on a pasture close to the other horses, but we will wait few days to mix them all together, so they have a chance to see and get more used to each other and to the new home.. and that’s the thread..
And a special thanks to @valerialabate
