Since moving from an Agency to In-House, Ive noticed something weird about myself.

While I used to bounce SEO ideas off of others at the Agency, I'm the only SEO here, so I feel my SEO creativity has dipped a bit.

But, for everything outside of SEO, I'm growing!

I've dipped my toes outside of SEO work.

Spotify ads
Social Media
Traditional Marketing
PPC
Email Marketing
Product Marketing
Running Competitions

Just to name a few things I've got involved with.

My Job as an SEO is to bring in traffic and ultimately sales.

SEO is a great way to do that, but not the only way.

I'm doing things I never would've had the chance to do Agency side and I feel my skills are all the better for it.

Even pitching in with other aspects of the business, for example, if the phones are going crazy, I'll help take a customer call every now & then.

While that may seem like a poor use of time, speaking to customers, I know what they're looking for, how they're searching etc.

So because I speak to customers semi-regularly, I have a better understanding of our products and I can use these calls to help inform my SEO & Content strategy.

I'm not sure what point I'm trying to get across here, just I really like In-House life and I feel I'm a better marketer for my experience In-House being able to focus all my time onto improving 1 site in any way possible!
