The White Paper said this on how a independent Scottish Government would collect taxes "There will be a transition phase after independence where, by agreement with HHMRC taxes would continue to be collected through existing HMRC systems." 2/

And it said this on how an independent Scotland would pay social security "there should be a transitional period of shared administration for delivery of benefit payments." They predicted this would last for years. 3/

The idea that we could stiff a country for billions and then ask that country to collect our taxes and pay our benefits for *years* is so obviously bollocks. It's the worst kind of 'they need us more than we need them' populist nationalist guff. 4/
