So let's play a game. It's a world where no leak ever existed. Because that's conspiracy theory talk, you see, right here. The incompetently written twitter trend and awkward video says so. But there's more. A thread. #TheySilencedYou #TheySilencedThem
Dubbers have already clarified that "going rogue" doesn't work, so let's start:
Who went rogue? Was it a translator, a director, a dialog writer, the voice actor? If this was a mistake, who made the mistake?
Are you accusing the entire team of being incompetent? #TheySilencedYou
If it's not the team being incompetent, then what is it? Are you throwing an entire network of workers under the bus in the hopes that someone reveals where this original information came from so you can bus them? Why do different regions get different content? #TheySilencedUs
Are we pretending this kind of ADR thing is unprecedented at CW? In regards to queer content? Because I think the 100 fandom would like to have a word on the late ADR plug vs Netflix versions of their pairing. #Theysilencedme
Do you not routinely check things? Are you careless? Are you saying the whole team down there went rogue? Viva la heller revolucion? Why is there no better communication between WB Latin America and the CW?
Does Misha's statement reflect the official statement from the CW? Why has there not been an official statement on this?
If Misha's statement is the network's statement, then why is an actor, who has nothing to do with the situation, being the mouthpiece and not a corporate rep?
Like honestly speaking that entire fustercluck of a blurb that can't even get its own basic facts right shouldn't be making anybody defend the fandom issues--it should be raising more questions.
These questions, of course, are very much divorced from the 15.20 questions, even if they're adjacent to each other. Fusing them into "alternate endings", "finale", and whatever else is either an incompetent or intentional design to muddy the conversation.
There's a lot to answer for on 15.20 too, but let's highlight the differences in these discussions. Don't worry, CW. We'll get to pointing out all the problems with 20 later. But don't get it twisted.
Late additions but: Let's make sure they don't get this fandom swinging at windmills or getting the wrong people burned. If they can't figure out that one country leaked the content existed and a whole other dubbed it that way separately, that's on them.
Don't fall off the course. Pull in friends from other fandoms that experienced this shit like the 100. Or whatever other CW shows are out there.
So anyway TLDR unfollow all CW show accounts.
Not the actors. The actors are just tied in this.
Unfollow all CW official accounts.
sidebar, does nobody else find it coincidentally funky as hell that SPN, after 15 years, gets a paragraph long blurb trend when its finale, its destiel canon moment(s), it's wayward premiere, scooby, NONE of it ever did?
Also guys: Stop replying to Misha. He's had enough explained to him. You're giving the official tag engagement by proxy of replying and keeping that RIDICULOUS scrambled blurb floating. Just disengage. He has enough to figure it out.
