Disclaimer: This is my opinion and how I perceived these 2 kinds of relationships. These are not a compilation of all their moments, as I just pick those I remembered and made an important highlight for me. Regardless, I will conclude this thread based on my opinion.
Let& #39;s first discuss how our MIND and HEART work together as a bridge in growing a healthy relationship:
We all can relate to our mind-heart conflict. Experiences of imbalance between these two in making decisions in our lives and regrets made us grow.
In starting a relationship it is all about getting to know e/o- the root and foundation of why people fall in love.

This is where the mind and heart together play an important role. A growing relationship has ups and downs accumulated from experiences both of genuine moments and conflict moments together.

As we notice, Jipyeong& #39;s character is a man that has mental intelligence but is suppressing emotional intelligence.
What makes it interesting is, his mind and heart work great independently. He is "unconsciously kind and insensibly honest"

-I can see that there is a balance between his mind and heart, but in a competitive manner that doesn& #39;t work and connect together.
On the other, Dalmi& #39;s character is one that is very emotionally intelligent but lacking/suppressing mental intelligence. Her mind and heart connect together but in an unfair, not proportionate manner. She is "passionately naive"
-It clearly shows that there is an imbalance of her mind and heart, and that is completely normal.
Both Jipyeong and Dalmi together would be the perfect couple in terms of how their heart connects. WE ALL KNEW THAT. How they unconsciously care for each other and how fate still brings them together shows favor for their loving heart to be together.
But, the hidden antagonist of this drama is Jipyeong and Dalmi& #39;s mind. These TWO MINDS can be the best antagonist pair in the K-drama world.
Jipyeong& #39;s mind:
-From the very beginning had been disregarding Jipyeong& #39;s heart- to protect the heart from hurting that it might get-

-rejected, again (not chosen to be adopted). After all JP experiences, the heart still longing for love but the mind refuses. Obviously, the superior one is his mind.
Dalmi& #39;s mind:
- From the very beginning, had been blinded. All it can see is Dosan. It is focused on Dosan
Dalmi& #39;s mind:

-because of its persona as the Dosan from the letter. The mind supported the heart so much. But when the truth came, still, the naivety and powerfulness of the heart over-controlled Dalmi. The mind just shrugged and became powerless. It didn& #39;t protect the heart and just let it
-flow regardless. It shows here that the superior is the heart.
In summary for JP& #39;s and DM& #39;s mind and heart:
>JP& #39;s overprotective mind disregarding JP& #39;s longing-of-love-heart
>DM& #39;s idgaf-mind letting DM& #39;s heart innocently wander
Note: JP& #39;s heart is certainly in love while DM& #39;s
In summary for JP& #39;s and DM& #39;s mind and heart:

Note: JP& #39;s heart is certainly in love while DM& #39;s
- heart is in love with another& #39;s heart but part of it is mistaken (confused heart)

Mind: "c& #39;mon, don& #39;t look at her like that"
Heart: "why? she& #39;s adorable just look at her, oh wait I need to adjust her sit, so she can be comfortable"

+asking halmeoni if DM is okay ALL the time and the +assuring halmeoni DM will not get hurt,+Plan B, so she will not get nervous*, etc
Mind: -_-
Heart: "Is dalmi okay?" "Dalmi will be okay" "We need to do this so dalmi will not get hurt"
Mind: -_-

All of these "true intention and genuine moments" are secreted and hidden from Dalmi
