sim cp stands for simulated child p*rn, and is used to describe any form of pornography involving minors that doesn& #39;t involve real minors. this includes drawings, animations, 3d shit, ect ect
a lot of people defend the production of sim cp because there are no victims in the creation of this material. other arguments made include that this material can supplement actual CP in the mind of a pedophile, and make them less likely to hurt real children or consume real cp
the thing is: although there are not direct victims, children are still endangered and hurt by the production of sim cp!
sim cp romanticizes child abuse, and makes those actions seem "normal". the realistic consequences of those actions, or even the realistic reaction a child would have to those actions, are not shown. children are objectified for this material to exist
this means that, for example, a pedophile who consumes this material, even if they differentiate it for reality, is still normalizing this type of behavior in their minds. ignoring the real world consequences does not make them non-existent
sim cp also fuels the craving for more intense action. if a pedophile regularly consumes sim cp, at some point, they will want more. almost like a gateway drug, consuming sim cp leads to a need for real cp, or even hurting children in real life
not every pedophile who consumes sim cp will take this path, but normalizing this behavior enables this path to be taken, thus endangering real children. it& #39;s important not to generalize here because pedophiles will take that and run with it in order to justify their actions
this shouldn& #39;t need to be said, but the best course of action for a pedophile is complete abstinence from any csem, as well as therapy. consuming this kind of material will only hurt you and the minors around you
the existence of "loli" and "shota" content blurs the line of consent, often presenting children as willing participants. this kind of material is commonly used to groom children in real life, and normalize this behavior to them
just because this content does not have direct victims, doesn& #39;t mean they lack any. sim cp can do just as much harm as real cp, and defending this kind of material is fucking gross
