If you’re losing weight out of hatred for your current body, you will never be free.

Slimness or ‘the perfect body’ is an elusive idea. You will never stop chasing it.

Accepting and loving your current form, before trying to change it desperately is a much better alternative.
The thing about our bodies and weight loss culture is that the likelihood of gaining back weight you’ve lost is VERY high.

So what happens when you hate your fatness so you lose weight and the fatness comes back eventually?

Will you start to hate your body again?
We NEED to unlearn notions of fatness as antithetical to beauty.

Before you embark on any weight loss journey, your starting point must be that your current form, your fatness is not ugly.

Is not shameful. Is not something that will ever devalue you.
If you don’t come from a place of love and understanding of your body and it’s fatness, you will see working out as punishment for your fatness and all these stupid diets will force you to develop a harmful relationship with food.

Don’t do it like that. Please don’t.
Your body is not a curse. Fatness is not a curse.

You cannot spend every living breath you have hating your body because of extra flesh.

Take it easy on yourself. Our bodies do so much for us. Keep us alive and well.

Your abundance is not a curse 💓
