My favorite thing about this Wizkid album is you can tell they weren’t trying to “catch a hit”. They just made great songs and put them together.

Made In Lagos is 30 year old Wizkid embracing his OG status in the game and reflecting that in the music. It’s intentionally cohesive and laid back to mirror where he is atm.

If it was a drink it would be the finest red wine, not for everyone but if you know you know.

This is an album you make when you know you have nothing to prove anymore. It doesn’t always work for artistes, but this one worked BIG time!

Him embracing Tay Iwar and Tems, letting them shine on those songs, not trying to overshadow them confirms my theory that he’s fully embracing his OG status.

Also shows he went into creating this album with the humility of a student of music.
