"Horikoshi sidelines female characters this arc"

Yeah alright, enough disrespect towards my goated, evolving mangaka. Here's a thread on why this argument is Bullshit - IDC if you agree or disagree I'm doing this more for me than anyone else
Mirko had a whole stretch of chapters where she was the GOAT and single-handedly saved Japan. She is the MVP of this entire arc

Yaoyorozu stepped up and became a leader in battle when her teacher fell (died)

Mina jumped into certain death just to try and save everyone.
Ochako had a beautiful moment where she stepped up as a Rescue Hero and thrived, showcasing her strength as a hero and her strength within her ideology of heroism when confronted with Togas question.

Ryukyu assisted in taking down Shigaraki and prevented quirks from being stolen
Midnight even went head-on into a monster and is presumably dead - fighting till the last possible second

The argument that "all of these characters had their moment robbed" is so whiny, and it throws away what all of these moments mean for the characters
Momo wasn't robbed because her plan failed. That's ignoring her actions and her showcasing of strength. You cannot win every battle. Her plan not working on Machia, the second strongest in the series from what we know - is not a sign of "sidelining" - it's realistic.
Doesn't change how she stepped up, doesn't change the calculated areas of her plan that technically WOULD have worked on anyone but Machia.

Every other moment of Momo stepping up in this series showcases her prevailing and winning. This moment is a big one for her
It's the first real scenario where she failed. She had the plan, she took charge and she did very fucking well but she lost

If you can't understand why that is going to lead to and IS good writing I can't further a convo with you
Mina didn't get robbed because Kirishima saved her.

Mina. didn't. DIE. because Kirishima saved her.

You can blame this on the quirks or circumstance if u want but mina was dead without Kirishima there. How she would have gotten around that situation without him is beyond me
But, once again, her jumping in, coating herself in Acid and just throwing herself into harm's way for the sake of everyone else is something HUGE for Mina's character

A lot like many others in this arc - it's the first time they are TRULY showing their heroism, their ideals
Their strength
And people who can't understand those moments and things that happen aren't solely dependant on the last second, and whaddya know, the ENTIRE impact of the scene is important for a character
It really pisses me off when some of these mfs act like they can write this story better. They speak as if Horikoshi is a grimy dumbass who doesn't know how to write good, all because Ochako didn't go full meathead.
You wanna write a better story then stop complaining so much and just go fucking write it. Stop involving yourself with a story you constantly shit on and use to express yourself when the author isn't that good.
That's one thing I never fucking understood. People shit and complain constantly but they NEVER LEAVE

I promise you if some of you mfs just left the fandom you'd be happier cuz it really feels like y'all hate this series with how you talk about it on the daily
Vent over. Leave me alone now Im too busy freaking out about the new chapter
