- @mishacollins please listen to this. everyone, and i mean everyone, was the most happy i’ve ever seen all of my friends on the day 15.18 aired. we celebrated something we thought about over and over again finally being told as true. though, none of us exactly mourned his death+
we all seemed to agree that, wait a minute, the story can’t possibly end there? dean would never just give up and not try to bring castiel back, and since he only has two episodes to do it, we thought it would get done. then 15.19 aired, and we all said+
“why didn’t they acknowledge cas more? maybe they were only completing the season arc this episode?” so we waited. we thought they would reunite and talk about the fact that one lead character just told the another lead that he loved him romantically. then 15.20 aired, +
and we all collectively felt betrayed, confused, angry, but mostly disrespected. they buried a gay by killing him because he confessed, never showing his face again, and mentioning with an offhand comment that he’s not being tormented in the empty. yes he saved the world +
but NONE of his friends mourned him. dean, the person that would fight tooth and nail to bring him back, wasn’t even the one to bring up cas when he was mentioned both times. so with all of that buildup that season 15 seemed to be doing, it all felt like it got thrown away.
so we thought what would be a reason for them to throw away a newly out lgbt character and the person he was in love with’s character traits? to not have to deal with evolving the confession storyline. that is why we’re mad. none of us have blamed you, or the other actors +
we blame the people that keep toying with or killing these characters that so many lgbt+ fans see themselves in. all we want is a detailed, long, epic lgbt+ romance, and we thought that’s what we were getting.
please keep listening. read the article swarming your replies. DM people in your replies that seem to have everyone agreeing with them (lots of likes, comments tagging you, etc.), and just understand that from our perspective, it was soul crushing, so it helps when we’re heard.
