Your favorite twitter account participates in a retweet group

A whole bunch of accounts form this neat little Union

And they promote each other all day long

I’m not saying this to be some hater

I’m saying it for all the accounts out there who are unaware

I’m saying it for the accounts who post quality content that get zero likes

You either play the game or you don’t

That is unfortunately how much of twitter works

These accounts in retweet groups are the same accounts telling you how to maximize your twitter engagement

They tell me I am a fraud

Someone who tells the truth

Twitter is not my full time job

Not will it ever be

But I do think about my engagement with followers a lot

And I think I’ve done a poor job

But at the same time I want to engage in ways that aren’t discussed

I don’t want you to respond to my tweets with this

Like so many other accounts

I don’t want to force people to retweet my stuff

I want to truly engage in ways no one is even talking about

I’ve been doing this choose your own adventure style story

And I’ll be honest

I really struggled with it

It’s a challenge for me

And I worked through it

Because I feel some obligation to

I’m not some devil. Nor am i a genius

I’m a normal human being

I have good days. I have bad days

I truly try and make twitter a better place

And I really don’t bite. I love hearing from everyone

What’s the point of this rant?

It’s just to say that you shouldn’t believe everything you read

Search for authentic accounts

And don’t worry about followers

Most of these accounts are past their prime

You know where the future is
