Jump straight to the point with:

3. Be specific and factual
Once the job is clearly defined, get down to business and list your qualifications for this task!
You are already now convincing someone of giving you an interview, but you have to make sure they know there are good reasons for them to do so!

These basic pieces of advice have, like so many things, stood the test of time.
You don't need to make a viral video of your job application, obviously it does help to stand out and technology today offers great opportunities to do so,
