reverse racism; a shitty explanation by me
(please read the whole thread before commenting anything that opposes what i have stated)
what is reverse racism? according to wikipedia, reverse racism or reverse discrimination is the concept that affirmative action and similar color-conscious programs for redressing racial inequality are a form of anti-white racism.
why is reverse racism problematic? because racism on its own is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, *typically one that is a minority or marginalized.*
do you see why it's problematic now? because racism is directed towards racial or ethnic groups that are *minorities*. white people have never in history been minorities or have been oppressed. white supremacy is still a thing. whether you want to accept it or not,+
+white people are privileged in our society. therefore, racism against white people does not exist and has never existed. if you as a white person experience discrimination, you being white doesn't make it less discriminative. however you cannot label that discrimination as+
+racial discrimination as it opposes the meaning of racism.
