It's interesting to me how a lot of people in fandoms are really strict w/ which characters people are allowed to like.

Like, probably the biggest example off the top of my head would be with jojotwt and how there were like, stan accounts for characters like la squadra-who are all sociopaths-but if you were, idk a funny valentine stan it reflected onto you as a person.

I think it ties back to a lot of people having fascinations w/ morally grey characters or even evil characters, but only when their actions fall under specific umbrellas like "Oh i'm a cRazY person so i kill people" or "I kill people because of my tragic backstory"

Going back to the jojotwt example, i remember that way back there was discourse about whether or not it was ok to 'stan' Melone (because he was kinda rapey), but then the people saying this stuff 'stan' other characters like dio who are arguably just as bad
