@SanandaEmanuel Darth Vader remembered he was Anakin Skywalker and rejoined the light. I’m going to pull a Kanye in the prequels defense here too lol but it’s sorta symbolic of Hollywood. Anakin was an innocent kid who missed his mom and was told to keep his feelings to himself. https://twitter.com/sanandaemanuel/status/1331643068471259138
Like I get complaining at the time about making Darth Vader a 9 year old but not 20 years later with the cash grab sequels 💰 to compare it to. At least George knew the specific story he was telling - the tragedy of the fallen hero. The Jedi literally told him to not feel.
That would break anyone @kanyewest
So then there’s Luke Skywalker age 19. He’s got big dreams and wants to follow the path of his father, complete with the man who trained his father in the ways of the Force. Is that fate or IS THAT FATE?
When he realizes who his father is 🤯 to me this is Vader low-key trying to connect with his son (after slicing off his hand lol) like he’s a very dark evil “more machine” than man at this point. While overthrowing the Emperor is his main goal, I do think the idea of having a son
Isn’t the worst for him. I kinda think he liked the idea and only sliced off his hand so they can talk for a minute. Again Vader is EVIL but he wasn’t always..with the prequels we know how big his heart was when he was Anakin Skywalker. He had bad anxiety about losing loved ones.
If we are making Deep State comparisons, the Emperor is the one to watch as he manipulates the Galactic Republic and Anakin by using fear tactics to get what he wants .. unlimited powerrrrrr 😂
Meanwhile - here’s my most used gif according to Twitter in 2020
Like this kid becomes the scariest most dangerous Sith Lord. Even he doesn’t believe it.
If George began episode 1 with a grown Anakin fucking shit up that would’ve maybe been more entertaining to see but it wouldn’t really be a story.

Listen George writes BAD dialogue lol I am not defending that but the overall story is very good actually.

Heres some bad dialogue
Let’s talk about Obi Wan. Probably the best part about the prequels as agreed upon on message boards for the last 20 years.
Obi Wan is also a product of the Jedi’s misguided ways. Compared to his master in the first movie he’s got a large stick stuck somewhere lol and it’s very annoying actually but again it’s a product of the “don’t feel” Jedi way of be in which is fucked up for any human
But then Liam Neeson is killed and Rey isn’t there with her healing powers to save him. Obi feels rage for probably the first time but then is able to reign it in and defeat Darth Maul (or whatever knocked him out of commission for 10 years)
So yeah while episode 1 isn’t Obi Wan’s best (it’s actually his worse, he’s complaining about being stuck on a ship for a good hour of it) he makes up for it in the next 2 movies.
Anyway Qui-Gon’s dying wish is for Obi Wan to train Anakin. Despite having reservations earlier about the boy, Obi Wan honors his master’s wish.

Woah RBG and the Dems tried pulling this same trick to less success I am now realizing. But it works for Yoda and the council.
Episode 2 is where Obi Wan gets to play detective🕵️‍♂️ and he begins to realize there are bigger shenanigans happening under their noses. This is his Awakening for all intents and purposes to realities about the Republic and the Jedi which he’d been sleeping through
In the first movie Obi looks up to Qui-Gon for the most part but clearly disagrees with him when he defies the Jedi Council or goes about things his own way. After 10 years of training Anakin Obi is becoming more like his master but is still very stuck in the Jedi way of thinking
The third movie is where Obi is forced to wake up to what is really going on but it’s too late..after ignoring the warning signs that Anakin was losing his way - Obi though DID think he was doing the right thing telling Anakin to suppress his emotions though.
Obi Wan is forced to face Anakin in the end and we all know how that goes. I’m sure he felt terrible watching his former friend burn to a crisp. He grabs his former padawan’s lightsaber and leaves to check on Padme (as she’s dying from a broken heart 💔 )
