I wonder how long the Liberal Party faceless men the factional overlords will let her parade around dragging these mounting humiliations into the headlines every day. Until they have done the numbers and assess maximum political benefit to themselves I guess.
and for the inevitable bothsides brigade, your regular reminder that public spending should be needs-based and therefore on average should skew toward low income areas and therefore AWAY from wealthy seats held by the Liberal Party. Like Hornsby.
I wonder what we pay the media advisor tho came up with this bit of minimising and trivialising inherently corrupted processes. A message specifically designed to support false equivalence media stories from the bothsides brigade.
it is not an illegal practice, she said, of her unauthorised decision to hand out $252 million according to Liberal Party HQ priorities with no tender, no announcements and no call for applications and whose advisor then deleted and shredded the evidence.
it is about ~community feelings~ see, said shredder. All governments hand out wads of public cash according to Liberal Party HQ election campaign strategy she added, by which she presumably means governments run by NSW Liberals because otherwise her claims make no sense.
btw “unfortunately” is a semiotic, a signal word. It is meant to imply that specific and deliberate actions by known/knowable persons, like the Premier spending our cash in a way that VERY fortunately coincided with her campaign strategy, is somehow vague happenstance.
just unlucky *shrugs* she is trying to say, when the way she handed out our money was very lucky indeed for Liberal Party politicians standing in those seats. Presumably she feels unlucky for getting caught unlawfully spending public cash and the evidence destroyed by her office.
