We chose careers that would put us in a caretaker role. We only want to give our patients the best care we can. No one chooses healthcare with the expectation that we would be hated & assaulted.

The devastation and trauma we witness & experience is so deep, so beyond anything we could have been prepared for. It keeps getting worse. This shouldn’t be possible in advanced countries.

It is this terrible attitude (“you signed up for this”) that pushes many out of the door. For all we do, and all the risk we and our families take on, if people can’t do the most basic of things to make this better, then why are we fighting so hard to make this stop? 9/9
