Someone sent this to me today: “why do you support ENDD? I'm asking as someone who spent 2 months marching with them before deciding they were not the best approach.”
My response: (1/2) i support diffuse organizing and a diversity of tactics. people, like you did, can choose from the different things that are amplified on different platforms, not just mine, where they can or want to show up.
My response: (2/3) between instagram, facebook, and twitter i amplify multiple organizing bodies, tactics, organizers, etc. i personally align with decriminalize seattle, no new youth jail, and covid19mutual aid seattle on values, politics and tactics.
My response: (3/3) that said, a diffuse movement and a diversity of tactics is necessary. why?
I don’t agree w/everything any group does but I also believe in a diversity of tactics & a diffuse movement. I don’t go to everything I share. We can’t & we shouldn’t all feel like we have to be a part of the movement in the same way but we should all be a part of it in some way.
I try to use this platform to amplify the breadth of the movement. There are multiple organizing bodies &, so long as there are no major disagreements of principle & values, I likely amplify. That said, if there are issues of abuse/harm, reach out & I will shift. IDK everything.
Choose what is best for you. Be discerning about what organizing you feel compelled to support w/ your body, time and resources. I am not here to tell you what to do. You too are a critical thinker and can make up your own mind. I am sharing plausible options you might consider.
