He was brought in to replace Fernandinho. Two vastly different players. Their main difference being their speed. Fernandinho could cover all the area in front of our defence helping us organize and move to attack easier and faster. His contribution to our attack is underrated

With Fernandinho we could play two number eights ahead meaning that Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva or Bernardo Silva would be able to move freely in attack and make chances for goal. Manchester City's biggest threat was our Midfield. Never Forget

We DOMINATED the Premier League with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi
Shit wouldn't be the same if Fernandinho wasn't there to cover for them when needed. Rodri just doesn't have the same authority. Hence why we're weaker in defence as well.

The Defensive Midfielder position is a crucial position for every Pep Guardiola team. It's the heart beat of the team. Last time we scored this many goals was under Mark Hughes. Our football started declining as we stopped playing Fernandinho. Could be our most crucial position.

Because Rodri is so slow and can't cover as much space we are forced to play a double pivot system. So that means that Bernardo Silva is forced to play deeper when clearly that's not his most effective position. Even Gundogan played as an 8 in our winning campaigns.

This leads to us putting *ALL* our hopes for creativity to one man. That's Kevin De Bruyne and that's clearly not working out. When he played with David Silva David was covering the left side and KDB has the freedom to run and create every where. Huge effect in our attack

This is why our defence has been unorganized and our creativity so poor. A double pivot system doesn't work and this is clearly the only way to fit Rodri into the lineup by Pep. A signing Pep is trying to force on us to like when he clearly doesn't suit our system. We won 3 games

Conclusion : we had to change our system COMPLETELY to fit Rodri into the lineup. He's a good player lads just doesn't suit our system. We're forced to play players out of position for him. This is all my opinion lads.
