/2 Ivan is from Jönköping, Sweden but lived in Belarus until the age of 8. When he was only 9, his mathematician mother gave him a book on HTML so he could start building his own video games. He quickly got bored with it and started messing around with Javascript instead.
/3 Ivan was led to computer science by his love for gaming. He attended the same middle school in Jönköping as @Everipedia co-founder @TeddeF, who at that time was the founder of an online gaming community spanning across games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Minecraft and more.
/4 At the age of thirteen, Ivan snagged his first internship. He was tasked with learning how to use an Android SDK to build a timer app for construction workers and delivered a prototype within the month. His first game followed, Zombie River. http://goo.gl/yoDsl8
/5 Spending his days swimming and his nights programming, Ivan attributes some of his success to the self-discipline he learned in team sports. He even won second place in a hackathon by building an app for swimmers and coaches, later selling it to a swimming club in Jönköping.
/6 He went on to attend KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science. He later studied Machine Learning at Stanford and put it to use working on self-driving cars in a collaboration between @ericsson and @volvocars.
/7 Ivan first got into bitcoin right at the end of the 2013 rally from $30 - $1000. The price crashed down to $200 shortly after he bought the top. Ivan wasn't shaken out though, he devoted even more time to studying blockchain.
/8 Excited by the possibilities of #smartcontracts, Ivan picked up #Solidity in 2015 so he could build on #Ethereum. The language is now a major part of his Ivan On Tech Academy curriculum. Ivan is a coding polyglot who's fluent in over a dozen languages.

/9 Ivan is a literal polyglot too, he speaks English, Russian, German and Swedish. He only started doing videos in 2017 to practice English. They started as general tech, but he soon found his niche when a video about #Ethereum outperformed the others. https://bit.ly/393AXHz
/10 After Ivan's YouTube channel took off he started getting invitations to speak at conferences. He began advising large companies, giving keynote speeches and hosting workshops. Becoming a crypto influencer opened the door to a million opportunities off the camera.
/11 Around that time, he started Ivan On Tech Academy with @MartinssonFM, a friend from college. The platform has extensive coverage of complex topics like #DeFi, and how to program on chains like #EOS, #enjin, #Bitcoin and others. https://academy.ivanontech.com/
/12 In early 2020, Ivan was profiled by @Forbes in an article called "Ivan On Tech’s Journey From 0 To 200,000 Subscribers In 2 Years" which covered his rise as a content producer. He shared that the secret to his success is a zen formula—persistence and repetition.
/13 With tens of thousands of pupils honing their blockchain development skills at Ivan On Tech Academy, and hundreds of thousands of people learning the fundamentals from his YouTube vids, it's safe to say @IvanOnTech has made a lasting and enormous impression on the space.
