Very encouraging prominence of R&D in the Spending Review today. Now is the right time to be doubling down on science spending. Science & technology will be a crucial part of economic growth, all our health & culture as we recover from COVID. We can build a better future.

The cut overseas aid is disappointing. At the very least we need a way of guaranteeing that this is temporary. UK has had a reputation for leadership in international development plus R&D & Evaluation of the impact of aid which sets a global standard.
