Sales Man City could and should make, a thread.
Kyle Walker. Kyle Walker bar a few niggles has been solid for Man City. But at 31, there's not much more left of him and he should be moved on. His defensive qualities are key but they need someone as good in attack.
John Stones. John Stones is fairly solid for Man City but after a horrendous 19/20 season and at 26yrs he should definitely be moved on. With the starting spot he should have earned after Kompany's exit already given to Ruben Dias there's no reason to keep him.
Eric Garcia. Eric Garcia is 19 and the ideal Pep center back but he clearly does not wish to be at Man City and therefore he should be allowed to leave.
Benjamin Mendy. Benjamin Mendy at 26 still has something to offer. A left footed full back he definitely has the profile of a player City need. But consistent injury problems and mediocre performances mean that he is not worth keeping.
Fernandinho. At 35 it makes a lot of sense to sell Fernandinho, even if he is a City legend. He's slowed down and is going to be retiring soon.
Ilkay Gundogan. Gundogan is a top quality player. He can clearly still offer something to Man City. But much like Mendy, injury problems and below par performances mean selling him would very much make sense.
Oleksandar Zinchenko. Zinchenko is still young and can improve, but he's been far from effective as a left back and is rarely going to get chances in midfield meaning that his sale will most definitely come.
Riyad Mahrez. Mahrez has been one of City's key players. But over the past year he has not helped City much. His ball carrying has been wasteful at times his shot taking is sub par and at 29 it would make sense to sell him if they can get a younger replacement.
Sergio Aguero. Aguero is definitely a City legend and is good enough to succeed even at the age of 32. But injuries have affected him heavily and selling him would make sense especially if the replacement is a similar quality player.
Bernardo Silva. Bernardo Silva much like Riyad Mahrez has been out of form and a he needs to step up or he would otherwise be getting paid just to be on the field rather than impact games.
I have to agree that some of this players can still succeed at City but with City needing to challenge for the EPL and UCL, they can't do it with players who are struggling to regain form especially considering that many top clubs could do the same.
They need players who perform consistently at the highest level and provide their best always especially if they want to win the Champions league.
