J*ss Whed*n thread

#IStandWithRayFisher
Before I begin, I’m going to be going over Whedon’s on-set behavior before JL which adds credence to what’s been going on.

After that, I’ll be getting into specifics of what *I* believe what happened on set of Justice League (2017).
Joss’s behavior can date back to his Buffy days in the 1990s, where he straight up fired and essentially blacklisted two stunt workers’s careers.

1/2
Joss didn’t want Pruitt and Crawford to be a couple, demanding they broke or they’d lose their jobs. Crawford refused and they struggled finding work for years after the Buffy instance.

2/2.
This leads me to believe Whedon treated the crew especially horribly based, not just Ray Fisher and the cast. Potentially stunt workers alike.

1/2
...especially since the whole stunt crew alike all jumped in public support of Ray as soon as he went public in July. https://twitter.com/bruisedwayne69/status/1277974037239443457
I will be getting more into JL shortly.

On sets of Buffy, James Marsters, who played Spike, admitted Joss snapped on him and backed him up against a wall.

I know the Whedon cronies like to downplay this by saying James was still on good terms with and he’d work with him again, but they forget that...
...the fact Whedon still did it regardless.

Now imagine how many more people would excuse that behavior once you’ve gotten studios billions of dollars and you’re Hollywood royalty.

2/2z
Also, the Whedon cronies like to downplay Whedon’s marital problems with his wife, Kai Cole but conveniently overlook that he gave her “COMPLEX PTSD”

Which is equivalent to what individuals who’ve had childhood trauma tend to have.
“Let’s ask the Buffy cast and crew how they feel about Joss”

Yeah! Let’s ask them what they think right when their show ended.
Onto the more jarring stuff, Whedon fired Charisma Carpenter on Angel when she got pregnant, this killing her off and writing her off the show.

1/4
Carpenter was asked if she and Joss made up, and even after she was brought back for an episode. Despite it hurting Carpenter’s career.

I’m sure they really patched up, right?

2/4
Wrong.

Carpenter had a completely different attitude when asked about it last year.

Last but not least, a day after Ray made the public accusations against Joss, she started following him on Twitter.

She doesn’t even follow Joss.
Now, onto Justice League.

I’m lead to believe Ray Fisher is specifically standing up for his cast and crew alike, not for what happened to him.

He said it himself.

Kevin Smith even admitted to tension on set with the crew with Joss trashing Zack’s work done on set.

Granted, it doesn’t sound like a big deal but you have to remember the circumstances with Zack’s tragedy, which is very and vile of Joss to do.
I’m not going to get into the Geoff Johns situation, despite me recently talking to a former DC artist about Johns’s time at DC Entertainment, which makes me believe Ray more... but Johns enabling abuse isn’t unrealistic considering he brought on Joss in the first place.

1/2
Especially since Joss thanked Geoff Johns graciously when Joss “departed” Batgirl.

I’ll be getting more into what I think REALLY happened on Batgirl.

(I believe Geoff was defending Joss because it was his asset on JL.)

2/2
Before I get into specifics, I want to address my thoughts on Joss “lightening an actor’s skin color.”

I personally believe Ray was referring to another project which he heard from another actor, not Justice League per say. Possibly on Joss’s upcoming show

1/4
...which is why Ray has yet to respond considering everyone assumed it was JL.

With that said, I don’t doubt Joss having racial biases. Especially since Buffy, a very PC show had a diversity problem and Whedon loved killing POCs to build up the white characters.

2/3
3/3.

I find it a little crazy on Buffy, a show that explored themes like homosexuality in a time where it was considered a cable risk, shied away from exploring race... especially this was during a racially tense period during Rodney King.

—here’s another example.
4/4

I believe a brute of the racial motivation may have been from the Jon Berg side of things.
I think Ray attested to that.
Before I get into good stuff, I noticed in the interviews that there was a sudden tonal change whenever Zack was brought up.

Something I found funny.

JW, whose wife called him out for abusing his power on sets of Buffy and sleeping around, said in an interview that he found it oh-so difficult to write a scene of him Angel hitting and quitting on Buffy and the way the cast reacts is gold.
Onto the SPECIFICS of what I think went down on Justice League.

In February 2018, two years ago, a YouTuber was sent an anonymous email. I honestly thought it was BS, but with everything that’s transpired in the last two years, I completely believe it.

Let’s break it down.
This was reported two years ago. And things have been confirmed and validated by Ray.

1/4
The leak said Kevin Tsujihara, former WB chairman, had to step in and forbid Joss from speaking to the cast without a representative.

2/4

Ray confirmed this last month.
The leak also said Whedon berated Gal Gadot, and essentially threatened her career.

Ray hinted this *ALSO* happened without directly naming anyone.
3/4

Jason Laboy, a photographer who has worked with Ray, and the cast before, also attested to this.
“Joss wore his interactions with the cast as a badge of honor.”

4/4
The cast was told to lie and downplay Whedon’s involvement and JL but Gal’s reaction to me speaks volumes.
“It’s pretty laughable on many levels to paint Joss Whedon as a victim.”
It lines up.
The crew, including the former DP of production are all aware and most definitely supported him behind closed doors

Ray had told them to not say anything to keep their career safe.
I’m going to end it with this.
