Thread: The Wikipedia activity of Cameron Edwards.

Cameron Edwards is the 19-year-old social media manager at the currently deregistered 'Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party'. I saw something odd in the edit history of the group's Wikipedia page, so I investigated. 1/6
All mentions of the group's ongoing civil war were removed from their article by user 'CommanderZheng'. The images below show two examples, but there are more. This is known as 'whitewashing', and goes against the Neutrality Policy. (Not to mention the conflict of interest.) 2/6
So how do I know that this account is run by Cameron Edwards? Well there are a couple of signs. Firstly, whilst (badly) editing the article for the 2021 Senedd election, this summary was left: "Please put Richard in the Abolish section. I'm not great at Wikipedia. Thanks" 3/6
The Richard being group leader Richard Suchorzewski.

Secondly, he tried to make an article about himself, and started working on it on his own user page, which is an understandable mistake, but nonetheless is a red flag. 4/6
Back to the article about himself. When he finally found the correct way of making an article, it was rejected by the moderators. Twice in three days. Because he's not notable enough. This isn't specifically against Wikipedia's ToS, but could lead to article ownership issues. 5/6
Summary: don't trust the Wikipedia article for the Abolish the Welsh Assembly party for now. It has been whitewashed.

Please don't send any abuse to anyone referenced in this thread, and please let me know if anything here is inaccurate or misleading. 6/6
UPDATE: He has just removed all but three references on the Abolish page. Why would he do this?
I have just undone his edit. All content on Wikipedia MUST be verifiable!
