Since the 2016 coup attempt, Kurdish women's rights defenders have been under attack — facing police raids, judicial harassment & arbitrary detention — in part for participating in demonstrations & other activities denouncing violence against women!

On Nov 25, 2020 while the police barricades briefly prevented women from marching, the women later exercised their right to protest in Kadıköy, İstanbul.
