I’m starting to see that it’s the far right and far left that is continuing to keep the polarization of our country alive by feeding off each other and trying to destroy the people in their own party for not being right or left enough.

I understand and respect that not everyone wants to unite because of the harm from Trump, Republicans and right-wing propaganda & I believe that they need to be held accountable. I also believe as long as this issue is not addressed, that history will continue to repeat itself.

My intention to this is not to change people’s views but to get people talking to each other. I redid the thread for clarification on what my goal is that it’s not meant to divide but how we can encourage dialogue with each other & agree to disagree on policy without insults.

When it comes to calling out racism or bad behavior it should definitely be called out. I’m mainly thinking of ways how we can let our guard down to talk about policy and world views in the same way that was done to me.

My opinion of why I want to reach out to my former team mates is because I’ve learned that they have been indoctrinated by right wing propaganda and Republicans. They believe in their alternate reality that they are doing good for the country and don’t realize how harmful it is.

Again there is a difference between white supremacy, bigots, and an uninformed Trump supporter, MAGA is an onion there are many layers to that onion. Labels and insults doesn’t accomplish anything, but having dialogue does.

My last point to this because I know it’s a tough convo to have but imagine if @SarahKSilverman and others called me a racist or a bigot instead of dialoguing with me I would still be a Trump supporter and I’ll leave it at that.
