The relentless teasing from my husb about BTS has got to stop. I was just in tears as I tried to explain to him that I haven’t bought anything for myself in 25 yrs bc everyone else has always come first. I finally found something that is just for me and I’m not giving it up.

Thank you for the kind words. Maybe it’s the pandemic w/mos of “togetherness.” Maybe it’s the holiday w/out family. Maybe it’s kids in college and cleaning out garages, basements, and yrs of kid things not finding a single thing you bought yourself.

Maybe it’s a threat that you start to put yourself first if you are lucky enough to make it to 50. But thru tears I made him listen. I’m not giving up something that brings me happiness and helped me to love myself.

Pointing out a man cave w/ tons of sports memorabilia helped bring my point home.
