@jkenney disparages those receiving public sector paycheques, which are the only kind he has ever received. He places himself in the pro-business camp but he's never run a business or had to meet a payroll or collect a receivable.
He feigns horror at the thought of telling family members that they can't visit or host relatives, but that is precisely what he did to gay men dying of AIDS.
He pretends to be the great defender of our constitutional rights, but passes legislation designed to restrict and reduce those very rights.
In the midst of a pandemic he begins the process of dismantling our health care system, and he disparages the doctors and nurses who have taken up this fight on our behalf, and have more courage on one fingertip than he will ever have or know in his lifetime.
He insinuates himself into the reflected glory of a Nobel prize win by a U of A researcher even as he slashes the budgets of our universities and poly-techs.
He waits eagerly for the arrival of Covid vaccines, made by possible by science-based research and development even as he works to reintroduce religious doctrine into school curricula at the expense of modern curricula developed by educators and experts trained in the field.
He knows he needs the vaccine to win the fight against Covid, but we all know he won't take on the anti-vaxxers in his base. He'll offer mealy mouthed platitudes and speak out of both sides of his mouth.
I can't have my mother-in-law to my home for dinner, but I can go to a casino or a bar.
@jkenney No integrity, no honour, certainly no shame, no authentic compassion, no vision for a shared, just, and prosperous future, no courage, no leadership. Just a rigid ideologue and hypocrite with raw ambition.
No concern for the hundreds or perhaps thousands who will die, or the doctors and nurses who will collapse in exhaustion, on the altar of his failed response to Covid, his failed leadership, his cowardly refusal to take the necessary steps that we all know are required.
How much of this will we put up with, how much can we sustain and endure, before we say enough?
