Breaking up with your partner because of dreams... is a part of youth too. It& #39;s telling you that things like this can happen, and I think Dodal& #39;s break up scene is relatable to those who went through it. (I& #39;ve seen couples experienced such..)
yes, your partner is important, but if you& #39;re still young, future and visions come first.. in Dodal& #39;s case, Dalmi knew that Dosan would not go because he wouldn& #39;t want to go to SF without Dalmi. Not to go to SF means to terminate the contract, which means they have to pay -
the penalty. and if they can& #39;t or don& #39;t want to pay the penalty, they have to go through a lawsuit.. like Saha-nim said, it could take years, it& #39;s exhausting, with no guarantee. A hindrance to their "future". So, Dalmi had to break up with Dosan.. for their future.
letting go your partner for the sake of both& #39;s future is not an easy thing to do.

I like the differences from how Dalmi thinks about Dosan and how Dosan thinks about himself.
Dalmi is telling him that he& #39;s one of a kind. it& #39;s like telling someone that you& #39;re lucky and a genius to get that one spot in a prestigious university where everyone is competing for.
how Dosan feels about himself:
(please don& #39;t accuse me for making assumptions, you can watch again.)

He& #39;s only thinking about him and dalmi. but his words here.. & #39;any two people& #39;? it could also be applied to anyone and everyone.not only for two of them.
from dosan& #39;s response above, I feel like the chances the were talking about were not on the same page. and it& #39;s not apple to apple.

not let& #39;s proceed to what Dosan thinks of himself:
what I question here is why do he feel worthless over something that& #39;s trivial? is his inferiority complex a result of him having cheated in the past? or is it because of his jealousy to someone who knows metaphor, differences of dessert fork/salad fork (ring a bell?) ? -
no matter how much tried to understand Dosan, I still cannot figure out why he feels that way. (i need to ask the writer). Dalmi clearly didn& #39;t expect Dosan to be the genius that excels in everything. She already likes the Dosan that& #39;s only good in coding.

so that& #39;s why..
yes, I know Dosan didn& #39;t want to give up to Noongil and SST team.. but staying also means = exhausting road of the lawsuit. you& #39;ll lose more than you& #39;ll gain, and there& #39;s no guarantee.
and Dalmi& #39;s answer shows how she truly is. she& #39;s someone who& #39;s willing to go out of her comfort zone to find another path.

and in contrast, Dosan didn& #39;t want to give up his comfort zone.

another message y& #39;all: you need to go out of your comfort zone. (a lesson for me too https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😭" title="Laut schreiendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Laut schreiendes Gesicht">)
this thread has become too long. to shorten it, the sequence of the scenes that follows are Dalmi& #39;s way to convince Dosan to go.

I really hope Dalmi was sincere when she said this (because I really think she& #39;s the type that& #39;d prioritize career over love). this is an empowerment.
