If you think transphobes in the UK press are being silenced, you are stuffing your ears with torn up newspaper.
2020 has been brutal.
If you are cis, it probably doesn& #39;t affect you all that much, but I wake up and wonder what fresh fuckery each day will bring.

There is no balance. There are zero trans columnists at any UK paper. I can think of two or three leading cis journalists who& #39;ve been allowed to write sympathetic pieces about trans lives.
I would say these voices are, by far, the most silenced of all.
Because it& #39;s a catchy story-arch isn& #39;t it? Scary trans freaks vs. innocent, & #39;normal& #39; women? Plays nicely alongside Woke Millennial Snowflake Vegan Corbynista vs. The People.

Allowing cis women to write about their trans friends, family members, colleagues; or pointing out trans women have been peacefully using single-sex spaces for literally decades ruins the plot. Like mobile phone reception in horror films.
ALL we hear are baseless concerns and opinions. When I came out, I worried people would clock me and PITY me. Now I worry they& #39;ll clock me and attack me. This is the environment the media has fostered: drip feeding insidious ideas about how I& #39;m deceptive or predatory.
And much of it is because a few prominent journalists are sore from being called names on https://twitter.com"> https://twitter.com .
I appreciate these writers are panicking. They& #39;ve held coveted, well-paid positions for years and fear losing them.
We all like buying nice things.
