I don't know who needs to hear this, but I think it is best not to feel dismayed when a professor responds to your email with:

"I am currently not accepting any student into my lab. Good luck!"

Instead of ignoring their response, thank them for their swift response. Also, humbly request they recommend another professor who is likely to accept students, and whose research area aligns with theirs.

The reason is that they collaborate alot with each other, and they know who is most likely will be needing graduate students.

A kind and connected professor, wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to another professor in the department, provided you meet the minimum requirements for admission.
