how harry‘s social media appearance changed over the years

so during xfactor and during the early years of one direction harry was always active on social media. he tweeted and posted on instagram like a normal 17-19 year old boy in his position would. +

then in the later years of one direction he still was active but that much anymore. but judging from what he posted it was still completely him. his instagram was definitely just him posting stuff he wanted to. same with twitter. he still tweeted whatever he wanted +

this progress is in my opinion nothing special. like he got a bit older and also one direction was at it‘s „top“ so they had a busy schedule and all that. it’s normal that he was a little less active. +

then we come to a point where it gets a bit „weird“. on his instagram he posted three white squares just before he announced sott and then his first solo album. +

at first you might think it was just like a clean start or that he just wanted to separate one direction a bit from his solo career or something but when you look at it now, there’s more to it. +

after that harry was nearly only active to announce something. his instagram consists of announcements or like important things that were/are going on in the world...don’t get me wrong it’s important that he brings attention to it and i‘m not saying anything against that +

specifically.
but in the last (especially three) years during his solo career he got less active every time.
and yes he said he is staying off of social media cause his mental health is affected by that and of course i understand and respect that +

but tbh it’s a bit extreme.
it doesn’t hurt you to open twitter, send a tweet and then close the app again.
like louis also stays off of social media cause he thinks it’s a toxic place but he still tweets sometimes or posts something to check up on us. +

and just to clarify this has nothing to do with larry. just a comparison between the two. +

so in conclusion: to the gp, harry is an artist who has a successful solo career but he doesn’t like to interact with fans that much. he doesn’t feel the need to thank anyone for awards or something because why would he care. +

yeah it hurts to think like that but this is the image our dear jeff is pushing on him. jeff is making harry into an untouchable rockstar. +

as harry‘s fans (not the ones who stan the image jeff has created) it‘s not that bad cause we know how thankful harry is and how much we mean to him. but it still hurts me that the lovely harry who has such a pure, kind and beautiful soul gets portrayed as an arrogant rockstar.
