Top 10 Reasons you NEED to play Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
[A thread]
1. It's story deals with heavy subject matter like the nature of war, orphanage and abandonment, nuclear warfare, and the shortage of oil supplies.
For a 1990 game, this game is packed with political commentary, and has aged rather well.
2. You get to play as Solid Snake! If you want to see more of Solid Snake in action, this game is for you.
3. There's a lot of characterization for Gray Fox, which goes really well into building up his character and relation to Solid Snake in MGS1.
4. There are unique characters and bosses in this game, all with their own personalities and interesting backstories.
5. The gameplay features a ton of depth!

You can go prone and crawl into tight spaces, while foraging for items. There is even a radar screen.

Enemies have vision cones so they can see you very easily. They also react to noises you make. Very good AI for enemies in a 1990 game.
6. It has a ton of synergy with MGS1. MGS1 is dark, gloomy, cold and Snake wears a black sneaking suit. MG2 takes place in the day in a place with a jungle and tons of colors, and Snake wears a green sneaking suit.
7. The soundtrack kicks ass! There are plenty of music tracks for different locations, boss fights, and character interactions throughout the game.
8. Colonel Campbell and Master Miller are here! You get to see more of Miller here which makes the twist in MGS1 more heart breaking.
9. MG2 is easily available on the HD Collection available on PS3 and XBOX 360. You need to enter the MGS3 main menu and select "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake".
There is an Easy mode, so if you're not accustomed to retro game difficulty, feel free to choose it. No one will judge.
10. Big Boss is the final boss of the game! Can't complete your Metal Gear saga if you skip out on Solid Snake and Big Boss's climactic battle!
I will eventually post up a tips and tricks thread later on, so when you do play the game at some point, you'll have a bit of guidance!
