I& #39;d think that the pay-wallers are reading this wrong. In the sense that they& #39;re looking to exploit the surfeit of BS, by assuming that people would pay for what& #39;s not.
The problem is that a lot of people cannot tell what& #39;s BS and what& #39;s not. If they could, this might work.

What one could do is to abstract or summarize the non-BS stuff into an easy-to-parse open-access piece, with the full piece and associated links (if any) on pay-per-view/subscription credits etc.
