honestly if vtubers want to reach out more especially english ones to bigger audiences i feel like the answer isn't to appeal to anime fans as much as general content/gameplay fans?

like one of the current most popular content creators is a dude who doesn't show his face and is normally represented by anime style fanart of him

Imo like collabing with other purely anime fanbases leads to you not really gaining anymore of an audience at least notably compared to the idea of streaming or collabing with a person with a more wide varied fanbase
