I know I shouldn’t be surprised that @ChiPubSchools would send their reopening plan on the eve of our thanksgiving break but somehow I still am. So now I’ll be expected to teach in-person, hybrid, and remote students at the same time??

Does @janicejackson or the board have any idea how long it takes to create lessons and assignments from NOTHING online and then grade it? Now I’m supposed to add to that the usual never-ending pile of in-person grading as well?

And come up with a daily schedule that engages students in three different places?? Can’t help but think of what @TroyLaraviere said to the board last week- do you have any idea the amount of stress and anxiety you are causing??

With all that is going on with this pandemic why give us the anxiety when this week should be a time of rest?? And by the way- I love my students. They are an amazing group of kids and it breaks my heart to not be in the classroom with them.....

... but when I asked them what they were doing for thanksgiving nearly every single one was going to a family party. But I should be willing to go back into the school on the hope that all my students will go nowhere but home and school? That’s just insane. @CTULocal1
