HOW TO SEND BIRTHDAY GIFTS AND FAN SUPPORTS TO THE BOYZ

alternatively titled: how you can avoid the neverending shipping nightmare I went through to send Changmin that Chucky doll

#THEBOYZ #더보이즈
The first thing you'll need is the address!!

- 서울특별시 강남구 언주로172길 8, 3층 크래커엔터테인먼트 (06017) + 멤버 이름

- Creker Entertainment, 3F, 8, Eonju-ro 172-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea (06017) + Recipient
*NOTE: For members with stage names like Q/큐 and New/뉴, its probably better to use their official names, Ji Changmin/지창민 and Choi Chanhee/최찬희. This will help the shipping companies recognize them as names of people and avoid issues in delivery
Q: What can I send as a gift?

A: Basically anything as long as it's not perishable, such as food. Make sure to check that your package meets all rules and regulations for safe shipping, such as rules regarding things like lithium batteries, aerosols, etc.
*NOTE: As far as I can tell based on the fancafe notice, document style gifts such as fan letters or donation certificates can be sent year round. However I am not 100% certain of this so proceed with caution! I recommend waiting for the acceptance periods just to be safe
Q: When can I send a gift?

A: Creker accepts gifts during a limited two week period based on the day of the week that member's birthday falls on. The gift period begins on that same day the week as their birthday starting the week before, and ends the same day but the week after
That sounds real confusing, doesnt it? Let's use Juyeon's birthday as an example! Juyeon's 2021 birthday falls on Friday Jan 15. His gift acceptance period begins on Friday Jan 8 and ends on Fri Jan 22.

As long as your gift arrives in this time frame, Creker should accept it!
Q: What if my gift arrives before/after this period?

A: Its *VERY* important to make sure your gift arrives during the acceptance period, otherwise Creker might reject your gift. While it costs more, I recommend using fast shipping options to make sure your gift arrives on time
*NOTE: I **highly** recommend using an international company like UPS, FedEx, or DHL. They will be responsible for handling your package through Customs and delivery direct to Creker. If there are any issues with Customs, they will be able to help you get it resolved quickly.
*NOTE: If you ship through USPS and your package is held by Customs, there is a high risk your package will be lost. This is because USPS international tracking STOPS the moment it lands in Korea. This means you will never know if your package is successfully delivered.
Q: Do I need to email Creker beforehand?

A: If you are using a shipping company such as your local post, UPS, FedEx, or DHL, then no! You can ship your package as normal. If you are in Korea and use a quick courier service (like food delivery service, but for packages) then yes.
Q: If I have to email Creker, what should I do?

A: Complete the form below (preferably in Korean as they tend to ignore non-Korean emails) and email it to [email protected]

3. 서포트 내용

(source: fancafe)
Email Subject: [Fan Support] Name and date for support

Email Content:
1. Sender's name and contact info
2. The date the gift will be delivered
3. The contents of the gift
EX:

[Fan Support] 21.01.15 Juyeon Birthday Support Request

1. Mouse 555-555-555 [email protected]
2. 21.01.12
3. Book
Q: How can I prevent my gift being held by Customs?

A: In my experience there are two things you need to do to make sure Korean Customs will send your package quickly:

1- Indicate on your paperwork that the package is a gift.
There is always a spot on the forms where you need to say what is in the package. You can indicate its a gift there. Ex: 'plastic doll - gift'. If you are unsure, call your shipping company! They can walk you through the whole process.
2- List the total value of the package as LESS THAN $125 USD. If a country accepts gifts, there is a gift limit. Any package below this limit is exempt from taxes duties and fees. For Korea, this number is $150. I recommend $125 to be safe

(ss from Korea Customs Service website)
*NOTE: If your package is above this limit, they will hold the package and demand the fees be paid by the recipient, in our case Creker. And we ALL know Creker is not gonna pay any fees. So MAKE SURE your package is listed as less than $125!
*NOTE: If you use a shipping company, you can ask to pay the fees yourself. This is another reason I recommend NOT using USPS. Neither USPS nor Korea Post will make you aware of this issue or try contact you. So you risk your package being declared 'abandoned' by Customs
Q: I have to include a phone number for Creker on my shipping form, what is it?

A: As far as I know its either 02-2280-7878 or 02-6207-5151

*NOTE: UPS was never able to contact Creker using these numbers in my case. You can put them on the form but dont expect Creker to answer
And thats it! If there are any updates, corrections, or clarifications, Ill add them to this thread. If you have additional questions, feel free to dm me anytime!! Im always happy to help!
